Before you begin orientation, make sure you set up your USU MyID and password.

New Student Orientation Modules

For students beginning in Spring 2025 orientation modules are available starting October 14, 2024.

The New Student Orientation process contains modules that are designed to give you relevant information at the correct time.

Module one opens in October, and the last module will be completed during your first semester.

Incoming students can register for classes in October based on earned credit hours on their Utah State transcript, but all incoming students have a registration hold and must complete module two prior to registering for classes.

Module 1: Pre-Registration

Opens October 14

Covers all the preparations you can start now. Learn how much USU Blanding will cost, how to set up housing, and how to do the FAFSA, among other things.

Module 2: Registration

Opens October 28

Covers everything you need to know to select classes and register for them. Learn how your previously-earned credits apply at USU Blanding, know what classes you should take, and how to register yourself for classes.

Module 3: Aggie Orientation

Opens December 2

Covers important topics such as parking, textbooks, paying tuition, involvement opportunities, campus safety, and much more to prepare you for your first semester.

Module 4: First Semester

Opens December 16

Covers all the last-minute details you need to know before the semester begins, as well as required campus safety trainings for all incoming students. Learn essential campus safety information, mental health resources, roommate conflict resolution, and much more

 
Mission or Military Service
Students on a leave for mission or military service can catch up with all modules when they return, even if that is very close to the start of the semester. Parents and delegates who will be helping these students register for classes can go through the orientation, as needed. If you are leaving for or returning from a leave, check out the tutorials at https://www.usu.edu/retention/nol/ before continuing with orientation.
