Community Engaged Learning: Training Students to Communicate with Community Partners
Community engaged learning (CEL) is central to USU's mission as it combines experiential learning with public service, outreach, and engagement. CEL is a high-impact practice that enhances students' educational experience and helps them develop durable skills that can be used in their futures as professionals and citizens in their communities. This 45-minute Sparkshop will feature a discussion on how to intentionally prepare students to communicate effectively with community partners and community members (e.g. introductory emails or phone calls, collaborative project planning to ensure reciprocity, etc.).
