Extension Publication Wins Ace International Award

A publication produced by Utah State University Extension Marketing and Communications was recently named Bronze Award Winner by the Association for Communication Excellence (ACE). The team of Dennis Hinkamp, Mike Whitesides, Julene Reese, Scott Boyer and Donna Falkenborg received the award in the category of Promotional Writing for their publication, “Extension Annual Report.” There were 439 entries submitted in this year’s program and each was critiqued by an outside panel of judges. Members of ACE include land-grant universities, federal agencies and international agricultural organizations.

Hinkamp will accept the award at the ACE international meeting in Quebec City, Canada, June 2-6, where he has been invited to display the project. The 52-page publication is a summary of both Cooperative Extension and Continuing Education programs for 2005-2006.
 
Earlier in the year the same publication, designed by Ben Barnes, was voted “Best Publication” by those attending the University Continuing Education Association (UCEA) Marketing Seminar in Sarasota, Fla.
