USU Honors Recipients of 17th Annual Diversity Awards

Utah State University President Stan L. Albrecht honored the recipients of the university’s 17th Annual Diversity Awards at a luncheon Monday, March 21, on campus.

The recipients for the 2010-2011 school year were H. Scott Hinton, dean of USU’s College of Engineering; Julie Smart, long-time director of the Rehabilitation Counseling program at USU; Jeannie Pacheco, director of the Office International Students and Scholars office at USU; USU student Brooke Evans; Cache Valley resident Rigo Chaparro and members of the Uintah County School District/Ute Tribe Education Board.

The awards recognize individuals on campus and in communities served by USU who have made significant contributions to affirmative action, equal opportunity or diversity.
