Utah State University Alum Named President at Dixie State College
The State Board of Regents selected Lee G. Caldwell as the 16th president of Dixie State College. The announcement was made Tuesday, July 12.
Caldwell earned a bachelor's degree in personnel management and industrial relations from Utah State University.
Caldwell is the executive vice president of academics for DSC, and will assume his presidential duties before fall semester. He succeeds President Robert D. Huddleston who retires this summer, and then returns to teaching at DSC in 2006.
Caldwell's selection came after an extensive national search that considered 74 candidates from 31 states. A search committee, comprised of 25 individuals representing the regents, DSC trustees, faculty, staff, students and community members, selected four finalists.
