Ellucian named USU CRM Systems Administrator Lindsay Farnworth as its Outstanding Community Contributor.

During its 2021 virtual live event on April 12, Ellucian named USU CRM Systems Administrator Lindsay Farnworth as its Outstanding Community Contributor. Farnworth was nominated for the award by her peers in her field. The award is given each year at Ellucian Live in recognition of those community members who go above and beyond in serving their community during the previous year.

“I feel shocked and honored to be recognized for something of this caliber by a worldwide company,” Farnworth said. “I am very grateful that my efforts to share have helped others. It wasn’t an easy road for me and if I can make it even just a little simpler for someone else, that makes the hard work worth it.”

Nathan Bills, director of product management at Ellucian, sung praises for Farnworth during the virtual event. He acknowledged her selfless service to others. She earned the award for her exemplary knowledge and the help she provides others who use the software, answering difficult questions and being a leader in the CRM community.

“[Lindsay] has actively contributed across communities,” Bills said in his remarks. “She's provided detailed examples on what she learns and how she solves different problems. She has presented excellent content and shared incites. Lindsay, thank you so much for all that you've done.”

Farnworth began using CRM Recruit in her previous position at Utah Valley University in their admissions department. Due to curiosity with the inner workings of Banner, she was asked to learn and help implement CRM Recruit. She has since moved to USU, where she administers the CRM software in the admissions office.

Farnworth has become a CRM Recruit Power User, completed Microsoft Dynamics configuration and customization training, submitted hundreds of action line tickets, and helped users across the country find ways to better utilize Recruit. She understands the difficulty that can come from learning and managing CRM Recruit. It might come from her elementary education background, but she believes anyone can be successful in learning to use Recruit.

CRM Recruit is a software used by USU to aid in recruitment and enrollment. It allows the university to personalize recruitment materials sent to prospective students, aid in communication with these students throughout their enrollment process, import student data, keep track of ROI and much more, all with the goal of enhancing the student experience while providing them with the best possible recruitment pitch.
