Veterans Day 2024 Events Scheduled at USU Logan Campus

Guards from USU's Air Force ROTC observe an annual vigil on the Quad at USU's Logan campus for U.S. military member prisoners of war and those missing in action.

LOGAN, Utah — Utah State University will honor those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces with a series of events on and around Veterans Day on the Logan campus.

Events will take place throughout the month of November, including numerous events on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11. These events are presented by the USU Veterans Resource Office (VRO).

“When I think about military Veterans, I get emotional. Why? Because they served,” writes Andy Allen, director of the USU Veterans Resource Office. “That act alone tells me about their character. They are brave. They are selfless. They are loyal. They could have done a thousand other things in life, but they chose to serve. They willingly put their lives on the line for you and me and our families. They chose a hard road. We have approximately 400 student-Veterans at Utah State and another 90 faculty and staff-Veterans. They make me proud to be an Aggie.”

Allen, a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army, coordinates resources for veterans at USU through the university’s VRO.
