Colleagues,

Good morning! I have a number of Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP) announcements for February:

First, we are pleased to announce the release of three new research summaries: Domestic Violence,  Sexual Assault, and Sexual Harassment & Gender-Based Discrimination. In partnership with A Bolder Way Forward (BWF) leaders, the UWLP conducted a fall statewide survey to establish a baseline of public perceptions related to the awareness, understanding, and attitudes around challenges that Utah women and girls face. To learn more about the study, review this document: Background & Methods. The first three research summaries by spoke (area of focus) were released in mid-January: Childcare/Pre-K Programs, Child Sexual Abuse, and the Gender Pay Gap. Thanks to all those who helped distribute and who took the survey!

Second, we have five more online “Women in Leadership Executive Speaker Series” webinars coming up (RSVP online).

Fourth, we wanted to make you aware of our new public policy webpage. For the 2024 General Session of the 65th Utah Legislature (January 16 to March 1), BWF Spoke Leaders have requested that we highlight proposed legislation that may impact Utah women and girls, specifically as it relates to the mission and spoke bold goals of a BWF. In addition, all of the spoke outcomes/bold goals have now been set for this movement, so check out each spoke webpage and let us know how you would like to be involved. Here is a link to our interest survey too.

• March 19 (11:00am-1:00pm) - How Women Have Influenced Change and Can Continue to Drive Positive Impact in our Communities (Business Women’s Forum)
