A Bolder Way Forward Advocates, Good morning! On Friday, June 6, we welcomed 800+ in-person and 200+ online attendees to the 3rd Annual A Bolder Way Forward Summit at the Zions Technology Center. From inspiring presentations by all 18 Spokes to breakout sessions, County Coalition connections, and a powerful closing workshop, the day was filled with connection, celebration, and real momentum! Thank you to our generous event sponsors (Clyde Companies, Zions Bank, AARP Utah, and the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity) and to every advocate, leader, and ally who showed up to move the mission forward. Together, we’re making Utah a place where more women, girls, and families can truly thrive! Below are many exciting announcements and updates for June: New Study: We are excited to release a new research report titled “Voting and Civic Engagement Among Utah Women: A 2025 Update.” Movement-Wide Awareness Campaign: This month’s campaigns are focused on the Male Allyship Impact Team (in honor of Male Allyship Awareness Month and Father’s Day) and the Political & Civic Representation Spoke (in honor of Local and Municipal Filing Awareness Month). To support Male Allyship, we encourage you to complete this form to nominate and recognize a father or Male Ally you know. If you haven’t already, you can also take our 5-part discussion series (course for small groups). Local and Municipal filings were opened in most cities from June 2nd to June 6th. To learn more about how to support female candidates, visit the Spoke’s LinkedIn page and subscribe to their email newsletter. New Updates on Spokes and Impact Teams: We have published recent updates from Spokes and Impact Teams on our BWF Blog. These updates include information on key happenings, current initiatives, and specific ways to get involved. There are many exciting efforts happening across the movement, and we encourage you to connect with those that are of interest to you! County Coalition News: The County Coalitions benefited from county and regional breakout sessions at the BWF Summit where county co-leads connected with participants from across the state and introduced them to the grassroots efforts. They continue to focus on identifying spoke representatives, amplifying the monthly awareness campaigns, and growing their county coalitions. Check out the previous updates from May to learn what is happening, as well as the BWF Events page for upcoming coalition gatherings in Weber and Salt Lake Counties. Welcome New Partners: This month, we are thrilled to introduce 27 new BWF Partners, which include Braver Angels, By Way of ESP, Code Adventure, Divorce Co-op, Fight the New Drug, Financial Planning Association of Utah, HealEx, Make Utah, One Kind Act a Day, One Utah Health Cooperative, Ogden Regional Medical Center, Phase Alliance, Pleasant Grove Recreation, Project Read, Shelter the Homeless, Summit County, Team XP, United Way of Utah County, URPA, USU Extension-4-H, USU Hunger Solutions Institute, Utah Global Diplomacy, Utah Food Security Council, Utah Money Matters, WBEC-West, Wiki Charities, and Women in Music Utah.
