April 2025 Newsletter - A Bolder Way Forward
April Newsletter for A Bolder Way Forward.
Colleagues,
Good morning! I have a number of Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP) announcements for April:
First, we are pleased to announce the release of a new research snapshot today titled “Child Sexual Abuse: What Utahns Need To Know” (with co-author Kolene Anderson). Additionally, a few weeks ago we released a new white paper titled “Home, Health, Community, & Allyship: Utahns’ Awareness, Understanding, and Attitudes,” which focuses on sharing the results of our fall survey around the topics of home and family, health across the lifespan, political and civic representation, and allyship. Finally, we also released a white paper in March titled "Utah Organizations Supporting Women & Girls: Exploring the Landscape.”
Second, we are excited to announce that registration for the 3rd Annual A Bolder Way Forward Summit is now open! The event will be held on June 6, 2025, from 8:30am-3:00pm at Zions Bancorporation Technology Campus. Join us for this important annual gathering of people committed to engaging in making Utah a place where more girls, women, and families can thrive!
Third, we have a few resources to highlight this month:
Fourth, April is “Sexual Assault Awareness Month” and “Child Abuse Prevention Month.” To learn more about Utah efforts to decrease our high violence rates, visit the Sexual Assault Spoke and Child Sexual Abuse Spoke webpages.
Finally, check out some key articles and media published this past month:
