Ask Big Blue

SMS Chatbot

How It Works

Big Blue uses a platform created by EdSights to connect with undergraduate, Logan campus students through texting. Big Blue provides:

  • Proactive check-ins (every 7-10 days) provide students the opportunity to respond to specific success drivers.
  • 24/7 access means students can reach out to Big Blue at any time, getting their questions answered exactly when they need.
  • Aggregated student voice insights show leadership where to make strategic changes to improve student success for all students.
  • Connecting students to people is the main focus of Big Blue. When students ask questions of Big Blue, they are directed to real people who can help.

The People Behind Big Blue

The Knowledge Base used by Big Blue was created by a team of USU professionals within the Division of Student Success. It does not “crawl the internet” seeking for answers. Instead it relies on USU-specific information and the framework built right here at USU.

If students have questions about Big Blue, they should email askbigblue@usu.edu.
