Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards
Mission Statement
The Office of Student Conduct will treat all students with fairness, consistency and respect. Our mission is to help each student to achieve success in their academic, living and learning environment. Our office can connect students to available resources through Utah State University and other agencies to assist each student and party.
Goals
- Protect the safety and wellbeing of our campus communities statewide
- Guide students towards engaging in responsible conduct.
- Fairly resolve Student Code violations.
- Foster and promote academic integrity.
- Protect due process rights of students.
- Develop and disseminate Student Code information.
- Performing outreach to inform students of the Student Code.
- We center students in a developmentally appropriate way, promoting educational outcomes, intellectual growth, communication skills, accountability, and campus safety.
- Stay abreast of the latest developmental, educational, and legal matters in student conduct issues.
- Bolster and strengthen strategic relationships with campus partners to ensure student safety.
Governing Values
The values of the Office of Student Conduct provide a framework for an ideal living and learning environment at Utah State University. This office believes an institution of higher education should be governed by the following values:
