Turnitin Student Report

Your instructor may have you submit an assignment through Turnitin to check for plagiarism. He or she may also give you permission to see Turnitin reports. Those reports may appear shortly after you have submitted your assignment, after the assignment is due, or after the assignment is graded. To locate the Turnitin report:

1

Access the assignment by clicking on the Assignments option from the left-hand course navigation and click on the title of the assignment

2

If your assignment looks like the image below, click on the Submission Details link under the submission status

(Otherwise, you should just see the submission details already.)

3

Click on the flag with a percentage to view the report

(The flag will be a different color depending on the percentage of similarity of your submissions with other submissions or sources. If the flag does not appear then your instructor has not released the Turnitin report for student review.)

Within the Turnitin report you can see sections of your paper that match to other content found on the Internet or within other students submissions

These sections will be highlighted. You will also see the percentage of matched material appearing in your paper, a list of sources to which that material was matched, and an option to download the report.
