Jimmy Moore '75, '03
|
Former Aggie basketball player Jimmy Moore authored a book chronicling his life journey. Titled "Basketball and Some of Life's Technical Fouls," the book follows Moore from his childhood in Leakesville, Mississippi, to playing basketball at USU, in the NBA and in Europe, eventually returning to his alma mater as a coach and administrator.

Don Logan '81
|
Las Vegas Aviators president Don Logan was named the 2019 Minor League Executive of the Year by Baseball America. Logan has been involved with sports in Las Vegas for more than 36 years and helped oversee the construction of their new stadium in Summerlin, Las Vegas Ballpark.

Chase Jensen - New VP of Student Alumni |
Meet Chase Jensen, our new Vice President of Student Alumni. Chase is a senior studying statistics and sociology. Chase has been part of the Student Alumni Association for two years, serving as the True Aggie Night Director and the Director of Operations. He has also been involved in USUSA Organizations and Diversity, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Student Orientation and Transition Services, and the Utah State Student Section Committee. Upon graduating, Chase hopes to become a data analyst. He is engaged to last year's VP of Student Alumni and SAA President, Tarren Jessop. |

SAA Adds True Aggie Accessibility Ramps |
The True Aggie tradition is the longest standing tradition at USU. Now, thanks to the Student Alumni Association, the tradition of becoming a True Aggie can now be enjoyed by every individual who wishes to participate. The members of SAA successfully accomplished their goal for obtaining accessibility ramps. The ramps were researched, fundraised for, and assembled completely by the students. |

Representatives from each of the 11 Aggie Chapters held a virtual meeting where they received updates about the University from President Cockett, and University Advancement and Alumni Association leaders. Our chapters are discussing ways to continue engaging with Aggies in their regions virtually, and looking forward to holding events as soon as safely possible. Virtual True Aggie Night |

Code to Success |
Utah State University and Code to Success have teamed up to offer an online coding program for alumni and students. By introducing computer science principles that can be learned at home, and access to 60+ hours of coursework, the program prepares Aggies to work remotely with the skills to embrace the digital economy. Thanks to a generous donation, the program is currently being offered at half price. |
