2024 Summer Student Rates
Rates include electricity, gas, water, sewer, trash disposal, and Internet access. Aggie Cable TV is only available at Blue Square. Please note the footnotes included in the rate tables below, as they indicate which buildings have air conditioning and where. Meal Plans are not offered for summer semester.
Summer residents receive the same features and amenities included in their rent as academic year residents. The rates listed below are for the entire specified contract period. Residents will pay the listed rate regardless of the length of time they occupy the apartment. Rates will not be prorated. Your summer semester contract begins on Saturday, May 4, 2024, with check-ins from 10 am to 10 pm, unless you select the second summer session.
Summer semester 2024 housing payment is due, along with tuition and fees, on April 24, 2024. The cancellation date for summer semester is April 15, 2024, to receive a refund of the $200 security deposit. After this date, contract termination requirements must be met.

Move-in and Move-out Information
- End of Spring Move-outs/Summer Move-ins: Spring semester on-campus residents will move from their current spring semester space to their summer semester space on the same day: Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 12 noon to 4 pm.
- End of Summer Move-outs/Fall Move-ins: Residents who have contracts to live on campus for the 2024-2025 academic year will remain in their summer spaces until their designated move day to their fall semester space.
- Residents moving to a building that is not occupied by summer students will move on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 4-9 pm.
- Residents who will be in a building occupied by summer students will move on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 4-9 pm
Summer residents who DO NOT have a contract to live on campus for 2024-2025, will need to move out by 12 noon on Saturday, August 10, 2024. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
Contract Process Steps
Please be prepared to complete the entire sign-up process at once. This will take approximately 10-15 minutes. You will not be able to exit out and resume the process later; if you exit partway through, you will have to start over again.
Once you have been admitted to Utah State University and have paid your university enrollment deposit, you may begin the Summer Housing Contract process. Completion of the entire sign-up process includes selecting a building, room and bed space, and gathering the following information and payment, as well as signing and completing the Housing Contract agreement:
- Personal Information
- Lifestyle questions
- Emergency contact information
- Contract agreement (found online on our Housing Contracts, Rules and Policies page)
- Read and sign the housing contract electronically. This is a legally binding contract so read it carefully. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian will be also be required to sign the contract.
- Pay $275 ($75 non-refundable contract fee and $200 security deposit). If you have signed up to live on campus for the 2024-2025 year, you will not have to pay this $200 security deposit twice.
- You will choose your building, room, and bed space for summer as part of the sign up process. Before you begin, you can check the current room availability to see what is available. Please check the list first before beginning, as some buildings and/or room types may be filled.
Before You Begin
- Please ensure your browser software is up to date with the latest available software.
- Know your USU A# and password
- You will receive your A# when you are admitted to USU and will need it to log into the Housing Portal.
- To set up your USU Account click here https://myid.usu.edu/
- If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian will also be required to sign the contract.
- Have a credit card, debit card, or PayPal account to pay the $75 non-refundable contract fee and $200 security deposit
- Click Application Menu (three horizontal lines)
- Select Settings
- Click Privacy & Security
- Under Permissions uncheck Block Pop-Up Windows.
Google Chrome
- Click Chrome Menu (3 dots top right)
- Select Settings
- Click Privacy & Security. Under Third Party Cookies select Allow
- Click Site Settings. Under Pop ups and Redirects choose bubble "sites can send pop-ups and use redirects"
Apple Safari
In addition to updating your Safari software, please ensure your Mac OS is up-to-date. These settings also need to be updated if using an iPhone or iPad
- In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Settings, then click Websites. Select Pop-up Windows on the left. To the right of "When Visiting Other Websites" select Allow.
- Go back Safari > Setting click Privacy. Disable (uncheck box) "Prevent cross-site tracking". Also Disable (uncheck box) on the left side of "Block All Cookies" under Cookies and Website Data.
