Overview and Access
LinkedIn Learning is an online educational platform offering thousands of on-demand video-based courses taught by industry experts. It focuses on business, technology, and creative skills designed to help professionals achieve their career goals.

- Only benefited full-time USU staff and faculty have access to this benefit
- New and existing LinkedIn account holders have different activation processes, explained below
Activating Your Account
To activate your free account, wait for an email from USU's LinkedIn Learning admin. You may need to check your Other folder or Junk Email folder or visit linkedinlearning.usu.edu
Once you follow the link, you will be asked to sign in using SSO Microsoft Authenticator. You will then have the option to connect to a pre-existing LinkedIn account or create a new LinkedIn account.
I Already Have a LinkedIn Account
To connect your free LinkedIn Learning account to an already existing LinkedIn account, select "Connect my LinkedIn Account." You will be prompted to sign into your pre-existing LinkedIn account, confirm your identity, review LinkedIn's terms and privacy policy, and personalize content recommendations.
I Do Not Have a LinkedIn Account
To activate your free account, select "Continue without connecting my LinkedIn account." You will be prompted to enter your title, your desired skills, and personalize your LinkedIn Learning experience.
LinkedIn Learning Benefits
Courses
With more than 5,000 courses and personalized recommendations, you can discover, complete, and track courses related to your field and interests. You can also choose to add these courses and related skills to your LinkedIn profile once you've completed them and get recommendations based on the skills you're interested in.
Career Paths
Role recommendations are based on your career goal and tailored using your company’s roles or LinkedIn’s economic graph data. Click a role to see how your skills match or update your goal to explore other paths. From there, LinkedIn Learning can create a learning plan that will customize your learner experience based on your professional goals. You can select between three goals: grow and advance in your current career, transition into a new career, or develop skills to manage teams. Once set, you can access new resources to achieve your goal.
AI Coaching and AI Role Play
AI-powered coaching is a feature that uses generative AI to help learners navigate LinkedIn Learning's content library and get personalized and actionable advice and examples to help them develop critical skills.
Hands-On Tech
Advance your tech skills through hands-on learning. Both new and experienced tech learners can upskill on today’s in-demand tech skills through expert instruction combined with real-time practice. Explore LinkedIn Learning for additional hands-on practice options, such as project-based courses.
