Teaching Excellence

College Readiness

A key aspect of inclusive excellence is increasing college readiness for high school students. GEAR UP at Utah State University is a part of the larger Statewide GEAR UP Education Program, and partners with local high schools to help low-income students be successful in school.

Student Organizations

Experiential Learning

Civic Engagement

The Center for Community Engagement, Latinx Cultural Center, proposed Native American Cultural Center, and other initiatives at USU develop active citizens through community engagement, scholarship, and fostering cultural exchange. These initiatives empower students to explore civic identity and develop leadership skills. They sponsoring campus dialogues, symposia, speakers, and visiting lecturers, contributing to the exchange of diverse viewpoints and provide opportunities to bridge differences and create belonging.

Leadership Development

Utah State University’s leadership programs foster development in higher education administration through hands-on training in policy, budget, organizational management, and more. The Utah Presidential Leadership Program (UPL) and President’s Leadership Academy (PLA) offer immersive opportunities for emerging leaders in Humanities, Arts, and Libraries to connect, learn, and lead.
