At Utah State University, we continue to make conscious efforts to be more sustainable in how we connect with future Aggies. In addition to using digital publications, we’re switching to a more eco-friendly paper for our most-used enrollment materials like booklets, mailers, and flyers.
We’ve transitioned to Cougar Super Smooth, a bright white uncoated matte paper that trades the glossy, plastic-like finish of the past for a more natural feel. It gives off an earthy, rustic vibe that matches USU’s agricultural roots and outdoor spirit while also reducing our environmental footprint.
This new paper still delivers vibrant visuals, but with a softer, more authentic finish that reflects the character of our university. While this transition doesn't account for all our materials, it’s a small but meaningful step in our broader commitment to sustainability.
Viewbooks
Now printed on Cougar Super Smooth, our viewbooks trade a glossy finish for a natural, uncoated texture that feels more authentic; reflecting USU’s agricultural roots and outdoor identity while reducing environmental impact.
Mailers
Our mailers use the same eco-friendly paper, offering a softer, more grounded look that stands out in the mailbox and aligns with our values of sustainability and stewardship.
Flyers
Printed on sustainable matte stock, our flyers now deliver essential info with a more earthy, tactile feel; less plastic, more purpose.

All Cougar paper is FSC certified, SFI Certified Sourcing and Rainforest Alliance Certified. Featuring 10% post-consumer content and certified fiber, it's the optimal environmental choice.
