The Earth Week EcoHunt is an annual event educating USU students about sustainability in action. EcoHunt 2025 begins April 14th with prizes announced April 22nd. Participants earn points through actions such as attending USU Earth Week Events, utilizing campus composting and recycling, using alternative transportation, food choices, thrifting clothes through True Blue Reuse & Repair, and more! Free Nutrition Workshop
Information/Orientation
These mini nutrition workshops are 30 minutes long and are designed to give you the basic skills you need to improve your eating habits! Each workshop will feature a different topic so come and learn about all things nutrition! These classes are put on by USU Dietetics students. Must register beforehand; spots are limited.
Native Utah Seed Planting with Earth Week

Join us for a hands-on Earth Week event featuring Kate Anderson, the USU Harvest Rescue Lead, as she guides us through an interactive workshop on sustainability We’ll be planting Utah native seeds in recycled materials, learning how to give new life to waste while supporting local ecosystems. Kate will also share insights on the impact of composting and how small efforts can lead to big environmental change.
Bins and Brushes: Recycling Made Easy with Earth Week
Student Activities
Get ready to reduce, reuse, and recycle in style. Join the USU Government Relations Council and COSAS for a fun and interactive Earth Week event where you can decorate and personalize your very own recycling bin to take home. We’ll provide bins, decorating materials, and snacks—all you need to bring is your creativity. Plus, put your recycling knowledge to the test in our Recycling Trivia Challenge for a chance to win a special prize!

Root & Renew with Earth Week
Student Activities
Join us for Root & Renew, a hands-on, eco-friendly event where creativity and sustainability come together. Craft your own unique gift tags embedded with native Utah wildflower seeds. These handmade tags are perfect for adding a personal, eco-friendly touch to gifts while helping local pollinators thrive. Learn how to propagate plants and take home your very own green companion—completely free. We will guide you through the process, making it easy for plant lovers of all levels. Bring your own glass jars to upcycle into stylish plant holders. We’ll provide the paint and materials so you can customize your jar before taking in your new plant.

Learn how to make reusable beeswax wraps, a natural and eco-friendly way to store food, cover bowls, and keep your snacks fresh. We’ll provide all the materials—you just bring yourself. Whether you’re a sustainability pro or just getting started, this is a fun and easy way to make a difference for the planet. Come craft, connect, and take home your own set of beeswax wraps.
Volunteer Tutors for Athletics United
Student Activities
Assist and mentor middle school and high school students from refugee and immigrant backgrounds with community partner Athletics United. You'll help with homework, studying, and other activities. All activities will be supervised. Sign up through AggiePulse (link provided) for details you'll need to know at the beginning of the week of your scheduled session. Address provided upon sign-up.

Bike to Breakfast with Earth Week

This event is open to all students, faculty, and staff who walk, bike, or roll to campus—because sustainable commuting deserves a delicious reward. Enjoy a warm, nutritious meal while connecting with others who share a passion for active transportation and a greener campus. To help us reduce waste, we encourage everyone to bring their own plate, mug, and utensils. Whether you're a daily commuter or just giving it a try, we can't wait to fuel your morning the sustainable way.
CCE Poster Session & Celebration
Special Event
Each year, USU recognizes the work of outstanding faculty, staff, students, partners, and alumni that exemplifies collaboration between USU and the greater community and demonstrates ongoing commitment to community engagement and positive social change. Enjoy live music and light refreshments while you learn about the amazing projects Utah State University's students have undertaken and cast your vote for an audience favorite. The Center for Community Engagement has three prestigious awards for students, faculty, and community members who are committed to outstanding service: The Presidential Award, the Ivory Prize, and the Val R. Christensen Service Scholarship. Poster session takes place from 4pm-5pm. Awards ceremony takes place from 5pm-6pm.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Training
Workshop/Training
The purpose of the American Red Cross BLS course it to train healthcare professionals including nurses, physicians, EMS professionals, and other healthcare and public safety personnel to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants. Core Skills: Rapid assessment and visual survey; CPR/AED for adults, children, and infants; obstructed airways; opiod overdoses; critical thinking, problem solving, communication and teamwork; the Emergency Medical Services System; legal considerations.

Logan Canyon Rock Climbing
Recreation
Come spend a few hours rock climbing up in Logan Canyon. We will meet at the OP and drive up the canyon to experience some of the many climbs right in our campus backyard. This is a great opportunity to learn some of the routes in Logan Canyon or try climbing for the first time. No experience necessary, beginners welcome. Trip Cost includes transportation, climbing equipment, and student leadership. Space is limited so sign up today!
Clothing Swap with Earth Week

Impact Art Exhibit Walkthrough with Earth Week
