Which group can recycle the most clothes? True Blue Reuse & Repair is hosting a friendly competition to see which club or organization can recycle the most clothing. Reduce waste, refresh your wardrobe, and support sustainability on campus! Clean out those closets and support your favorite club. HOW TO PARTICIPATE Step 1: Clean out your closet over the break Step 2: Get your friends to do the same Step 3: Donate clean, gently-used clothing Step 4: Bring your donations to the TSC Lounges on Jan 12, 12–3 PM Step 5: Cast your vote for the group you want to win! Winning club gets a FREE Aggie Ice Cream for each club member! PLUS—you can earn extra points by encouraging people outside your organization. Donate only clean, gently used items . Small Group Training Classes Start
Recreation
Utah State Campus Recreation’s small group training (SGT) offers hands-on fitness instruction/training while in a group environment. It blends personal training with group fitness, where during the 5-week series, participants can expect tailored progressive instruction relative to the class. Our first block is offering an intro to powerlifting and an upbeat pilates class. Only 10 spots are available for each class, allowing for hands-on training with instructors. Classes are free the first week before registration is required, and it is a great way to try out the class.
MLK Day of Service, Project 1: SNAC Mobile Food Pantry Help

The USU Center for Community Engagement invites students to honor the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by participating in six different community engagement projects. As our friends at AmeriCorps say, "Make it a day ON, not a day OFF!" Help fight food insecurity on campus and in the community by directing traffic, signing up guests, loading food into cars, breaking down boxes, and assisting with clean-up. Every helping hand makes a difference! Sign up through AggiePulse (link provided). Meet in the Maverik Stadium parking lot on Lars Hansen Drive at 8:30am. Dress for the weather! We will be outside the whole time.
Free "Clean Eating" Nutrition Workshop

Join Campus Recreation for the first nutrition workshop of the spring semester! This time, we're talking all about clean eating. Smart fueling, simple whole-food choices without the all-or-nothing. Workshops are free and located in the ARC at the nutrition office. This presentation will be on January 13th, starting at 4pm. Registration is limited, so grab your spot beforehand on recportal.usu.edu under nutrition services.

Come learn how Cache Valley nonprofits Jump the Moon and Common Ground Outdoor Adventures are assisting adults and children of diverse abilities to create and recreate. Join Outdoor Programs on January 14th for our first Wednesday Workshop of the semester. Tonight we'll go over what should be in your winter backcountry pack, making sure you're prepared and ready to get out in the snow. The workshop is free and will start at 7pm in the Outdoor Programs rental shop in the ARC.

Logan Canyon Cross Country Skiing

We're headed up the canyon for our first cross-country ski trip of the season! We'll cover logistics, transportation, and leadership - just simply show up. Beginners are welcome. $20 students, $30 fac/staff/student guest
Intro Backcountry Ski Tour

Let's get into the backcountry! Head up into Logan Canyon with Outdoor Programs on our first backcountry trip of the year. We'll head out early in the morning and spend the day on the mountain. AT ski or splitboard packages are available if needed for $10. Spots are limited, so make sure to register beforehand; it closes on the 14th.
Sweat Day

Not sure what Sweat Day means? We've got you. Join us on Saturday, January 17th, for 3 hours packed full of group fitness classes that'll make you sweat! Registration will give you access to all classes being offered. You'll get to pick from our lineup of various classes that rotate every hour. Don't worry, we'll have snacks to keep you energized & all participants get a free Sweat Day t-shirt! Registration is $5 with a group fitness pass or $10 without. Grab a friend or come solo, we welcome everyone! No prior experience or equipment required.

The USU Center for Community Engagement invites students to honor the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by participating in six different community engagement projects. As our friends at AmeriCorps say, "Make it a day ON, not a day OFF!" Athletics United is a non-profit running club dedicated to building community by providing a supportive environment for children and youth, including kids from immigrant and refugee backgrounds. Their activities, including both running as well as tutoring students, are completely run through donations and volunteer support. As a volunteer, you get to participate in the running club and offer support and encouragement to these young runners! Sign up through AggiePulse (link provided).

The Fuller Center for Housing is a non-profit organzation that seeks to eradicate poverty housing by promoting partnerships with individuals and community groups to build and rehabilitate homes for people in need. We will be in front of Lee’s Marketplace (Logan) handing out donation fliers to customers. This project has been split into one-hour shifts, but feel free to commit to the whole time!
