Intro Backcountry Ski Tour

Come grab some backcountry turns with us! We will venture into the Bear River backcountry to seek out snow that you can't get to on a ski lift. Learn some of the basics of backcountry travel and safety. No backcountry experience is required but you must be comfortable riding black diamond resort terrain. Participants must be prepared for strenuous hiking. Backcountry touring skis or splitboard with skins are required and available to rent for an additional $10+tax for trip participants. NO SNOWSHOES. Trip cost includes transportation, avalanche beacon, shovel, probe and student leadership.

Join us for these 30-minute nutrition mini-workshops, each covering a different topic to help you build your nutrition knowledge The first is from 3:00 - 3:30 PM, and the second workshop will follow from 4:00 - 4:30 PM
Free Protein Nutrition Workshop

Want to eat more protein but don't know where to start? We've got you! Join us on February 10th for our free protein nutrition workshop. Ask questions, gain knowledge, and leave with a deeper understanding of how to implement protein into your diet. Workshop starts at 4pm at the ARC nutrition office. Registration is free but limited; register online at recportal.usu.edu to secure a spot.

Black History Month Celebration

Utah State University’s Black History Month celebration offers an engaging and educational experience highlighting the contributions of African Americans to music, cuisine, and culture. Attendees will also learn about the significance of Black History Month and its journey to becoming a federally recognized observance.
February Film Fest Week 2: Sustainable Development with 2040 (2020)

Join us for February Film Fest 2026! This event is a three-week series of documentary screenings focused on community sustainability. Week 2 focuses on sustainable development with the 2020 film 2040. Practical solutions to environmental concerns are addressed with the hope that the filmmaker's daughter, 21 years old in the year 2040, will face a hopeful future. Snacks provided!
Wednesday Workshop: What's in Your Hiking Pack?

Be trail-ready with our "What's in Your Hiking Pack?" Clinic. Learn how to properly prepare and pack your backpack for a safe and comfortable hiking adventure, including essential gear, smart weight distribution, and weather-ready planning. We’ll also touch on awareness of environmental hazards such as heat, storms, wildlife, and terrain, so you can make informed decisions on the trail. Hike smarter, safer, and with confidence.
Lead Climbing Clinic

Learn the fundamentals of lead climbing in a guided, supportive setting focused on safety, technique, and efficiency. This clinic covers clipping, rope management, and lead belay skills to help climbers progress with confidence.
President's Day Weekend Blind Hollow Yurt Backcountry Ski Trip

We are heading up to the Blind Hollow yurt spend a long weekend enjoying the Bear River backcountry from February 13 through the 16. We will explore some of the fantastic riding terrain around Blind Hollow and spend the evenings around the fire in the comforts of the OP's Mongolian-Style yurt. Some backcountry experience is recommended and participants must be expert/advanced riders (able to comfortably ride black diamond western resort terrain). Participants must be in good physical condition and prepared for strenuous uphill hiking.

Love Yourself Pilates is a welcoming class focused on mindful movement, strength, and self-care. This session emphasizes controlled Pilates exercises designed to help you reconnect with your body and leave feeling balanced and confident.

This feel-good flow is designed to help you reconnect with your body, reduce stress, and leave feeling grounded, confident, and cared for. Class will run from 6-7pm in the ARC 3rd Floor Loft. It's free with a group fitness pass or just $5 without. Register beforehand as spots are limited!

Make a difference during your President's Day weekend break with an Alternative Break. Come with us to Salt Lake City, UT as we volunteer with The Other Side Academy, The Road Home, and Fill the Pot Ministry and learn approaches organizations are taking to provide services to community members experiencing homelessness. Cost: $95 if you apply by Jan. 26th ($120 if you apply after Jan. 26th). Trip fee includes transportation, lodging, and group meals. We will be making a special trip to The Other Side Donuts--bring spending money if you want a treat!
