Eco Hunt is an annual contest during Earth Week (April 13-17, 2026). Participants can earn points by attending Earth Week events (be sure to scan your student ID), contributing to the Earth Week photo gallery, and practicing daily sustainability. The grand prize is a National Parks Pass with other prizes for runners-up. Winners will be announced at the End of Earth Week Celebration on April 17th. Register though the link provided below. Earth Week: Sun Printing with EcoArt
Student Activities
Join EcoArt to learn how to make nature-inspired cyanotypes. Cyanotypes are a kind of photographic print that use ultraviolet light to create blue prints. All materials and instructions will be provided, including snacks! This event is free and open to the community.
Earth Week: Beeswax Wraps
Student Activities
Come make a custom reusable beeswax wrap to take home! Beeswax wraps are a great sustainable alternative to plastic wrap or ziploc bags for food storage. All materials and instructions will be provided, and there will be pizza! This event is free and open to the community.

Earth Week: Sew & Swap
Student Activities
Drop in to our all-day sew & swap to learn how to mend and upcycle your old clothes, or swap them for something new. We will have different stations with instructions for different mending techniques, and volunteers there to answer your sewing questions. Tons of sewing materials provided, including sewing machines, patches, scrap fabric, pins, embroidery thread, embroidery hoops, and snacks! This event is free and open to the community.
Take Back the Night
Special Event
Started in the 1970's, Take Back the Night events happen every April on college campuses to bring the community together in support of survivors of sexual violence. This year's event will include survivor stories and other speakers, resources from community partners and a small rally around the square. Join us for a night of both reflection and action, as we show support for USU and Logan survivors of violence.
Earth Week: Earth Yoga with Yoga Club
Student Activities
Join Yoga Club for an earth-inspired yoga flow! We will meet in HPER 211 but may move outside if weather allows. Bring a yoga mat, towel, or blanket if you have one. This event is free and open to the community.

Earth Week: Day at the Farm with USU Student Organic Farm
Student Activities
Come help the USU Student Organic Farm prep for their growing season! We will be helping out with projects such as harvesting, weeding, and fence-building. Bring a hat, water and sunscreen. Feel free to stay for the whole time or just an hour or two! Watermelon and snacks will be provided. This event is free and open to the community.
Earth Week: Adopt a Plant with Plant Science Club
Student Activities
Join Plant Science Club for a propagation planting event at the USU Teaching Greenhouse! We will provide planting containers, soil, plant cuttings, and snacks. Come pick a plant to take home, and learn more about houseplant care. This event is free and open to the community.

Earth Week: Birdwatching Walk

Come look for birds with us at First Dam! We’ll have binoculars to borrow, and seasoned birdwatchers helping us ID the birds we see. Trail mix and granola bars will be provided. This event is free and open to the community.

Join us to hang out, eat sandwiches, and celebrate Earth Week. We will have sustainability-related clubs and organizations tabling, plus an end of week slideshow. We will also be giving out prizes for the Ecohunt winners. This event is free and open to the community.
Earth Week Legacy of Val Day of Service: Spring Planting at Wuda Ogwa
Student Activities
Join us as we honor the legacy of Val R Christensen and support the Northwestern Band of Shoshone in their efforts to restore the ecosystem at Wuda Ogwa (located outside of Preston, ID). We will be planting native plants throughout the property formerly known as the Bear River Massacre Site. Sign up through AggiePulse (link provided below).
