Student Nutrition Access Center Remains Open and Offers Online Service
The Student Nutrition Access Center (SNAC) remains open to serve Utah State University students, faculty, staff and student families during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) public health emergency. SNAC is moving to an online platform at https://form.jotform.com/200786504000039 to offer users the option of a pre-packaged pick-up, or drop-off delivery.
If USU community users are picking up in person, they can do so during normal pantry hours (Tuesday-Thursday: 1-5 p.m. and Friday noon-5 p.m.). SNAC users can pull into the University Inn parking lot and call 435-797-1740 for further instructions. USU Parking has granted free parking in the University Inn lot to USU community users who need to access SNAC. SNAC users will need to inform the booth attendant the visit was for SNAC pantry pickup in order to avoid any charges.
USU community users opting for a drop-off delivery will need to provide their address and phone number. SNAC volunteers will leave a message when items have been delivered. Users can expect delivery within 24 hours of order placement during weekdays. Please keep in mind that delivery times vary depending on volunteer availability, as the SNAC pantry is entirely volunteer-run.
SNAC is currently coordinating closely with USU Dining Services to cut down on food waste while delivering nutritious meals to USU community members in need. SNAC also is working closely with Cache Community Food Pantry to ensure all Cache Valley residents have access to food.
SNAC is also in need of volunteers and interested individuals may email james.wirth@aggiemail.usu.edu. Secure online donations can be made at https://www.usu.edu/aggiefunded/snac/index.
SNAC is a program within USU’s Center for Community Engagement, a Student Affairs department formed in 2013 with a mission to develop active citizens through community engagement and scholarship. More information on CCE can be found at https://www.usu.edu/communityengagement/.
