2024 Transfer Bus Tour
When further academic growth is desired, it can be useful to know what your options are. The GEAR UP Transfer Bus Tour in December 2024 gave GEAR UP graduates at Utah colleges the opportunity to visit Universities across the state, and showed them what resources were available at each.

The USU GEAR UP Transfer Bus Tour was an exciting and informative experience designed to help GEAR UP students from Snow College and Salt Lake Community College explore their options for transferring to a four-year university. Over the course of 3 days, students visited all of Utah’s major universities, including the University of Utah, Weber State University, Utah State University, Brigham Young University, Utah Valley University, Southern Utah University, and Utah Tech University.
During the tour, students had the opportunity to set foot on each campus, explore facilities, and learn about the unique offerings at each institution. Along the way, they connected with students from other colleges, making new friendships and fun memories. The tour gave students a firsthand look at the academic programs, campus culture, and resources available at each school, helping them gain a clearer idea of where they might want to transfer after earning their associate’s degree. This experience empowered them with the knowledge and connections to make more informed decisions about their educational futures.
