Is catering offered off campus?
Catering services are available off campus if they are funded by the university. There may be an additional service charge based on the travel distance and the size of the party. Will call deliveries are not offered off campus.
Does catering provide buffet tables, seating tables, and/or chairs?
No, all these are provided by facilities. If you have one, talk to your event coordinator about these and the set up. Otherwise, contact the office of events.
Are we able to take leftovers once the event is over?
Clients are entitled to the amount of food for the number of guests on the confirmed order. This does not mean clients can have all the food remaining as our chefs typically prepare more food than requested in case the guest count is higher than we were told. We do not provide boxes/food containers and clients must bring their own.
Can catering equipment (centerpieces, utensils, dispensers, coolers, etc.) be borrowed or rented?
No, catering does not rent out or loan any equipment.
Can catering accommodate for dietary restrictions such as allergies?
Yes, to an extent. We cannot guarantee any food is absent from cross contamination, so recommend caution for anyone with an allergy. Let us know in advance what dietary restrictions your party has and how many. For full service catered meals this will not be an additional cost, however all other service style orders will include an additional fee.
Can I order any menu item on the website as a will call or will call delivery?
It depends on which menu item. Most food listed on our site may be available as a will call or will call delivery, but this is ultimately determined by our chefs and operations manager.
Are catering servers present during a corporate catering event?
It will be decided on a case-by-case basis by the operations manager. It depends on how many guests will be present, the food being served, and various other factors.
Is a plated event more expensive than a buffet?
No, it is priced the same. For more formal events we suggest having the food served to the seating tables. Let us know if you would like this for your event.
Can catering ever be offered on Sundays?
We are closed on Sundays; however, exceptions can be made with approval of the dining director and operations manager. The order must meet a minimum of $1,200 before the service charge to be considered. Requests should be submitted at least a month in advance.
How is the guest count calculated at an event?
Event leads will determine if a guest count is under, over, or accurate to the order. This is done by counting heads, plates used, or rolled silverware used. If a guest uses multiple plates this will count multiple times and increase the count. To ensure you will not be charged an overcount fee, inform guests they may have one plate.
Is there a fee for cancellations?
If an event is cancelled within 3 business days there will be a 30% fee required. If there is any change to the order within 3 business days of the date, there is a 25% surcharge to the addition. Please let us know as early as you can any changes or cancellations made.
