Bio
Lindsey Soffe serves as Program Assistant, Senior at Utah State University’s Center for Empowering Teaching Excellence (ETE), where she manages the Professional Development Pathways Program. In this role, she organizes Learning Circles and Sparkshops, provides formative feedback about teaching effectiveness through the Pathways' Canvas course, coordinates peer evaluations of teaching, and supports the day-to-day operations that advance ETE’s mission of promoting teaching excellence.Lindsey is a proud USU alumna, having earned a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences, along with an Instructional Coaching Endorsement here, at USU. Her background includes work as a grant-funded instructional designer at Bridgerland Technical College and as a Graduate Student Ambassador at USU.
Based on her experiences as a non-traditional, returning student, Lindsey has experienced firsthand the transformative power of student-centered learning. She is passionate about empowering faculty through evidence-based practices, including the application of adult learning theory, reducing extraneous cognitive load, and offering uplifting, actionable feedback about teaching effectiveness. She believes that by supporting faculty, we foster a stronger, more inclusive academic community.
