Teaching Triangles
Learn with two USU colleagues through classroom observation, conversation, and reflection.
Connect
ETE matches you with two colleagues. Meet your triangle, share your teaching goals, and plan your visits.
Observe
Visit one class session for each colleague and welcome them into yours. Notice ideas you could try in your own teaching.
Reflect
Gather to talk about what you learned. Share perspectives, identify a next step, and write a brief reflection on your experience.
Starting in Spring 2027
Program at a Glance
Who can participate?
USU instructors at any campus who are teaching during Spring 2027. ETE will consider teaching schedules and observation availability when forming triangles.
What is the commitment?
One semester: an initial group meeting, two classroom visits, hosting your colleagues, and a short written reflection. ETE will fund an on-campus lunch for your Teaching Triangle to discuss what you learned and reflect together.
Is this a teaching evaluation?
No. Teaching Triangles is a supportive space for learning and self-reflection, separate from formal peer evaluation. The focus is on ideas you can bring back to your own teaching.
