Resolving Holds & Action Items
A registration hold prevents you from registering until the hold has been resolved. Before registration opens, visit MyUSU and find the Holds & Action Items widget to check if you have any holds placed on your account. Contact information for the office who placed the hold will be provided for you to clear the hold. Below are the types of holds that may appear.
Training
The most common hold for training is not completing the Sexual Misconduct Prevention Training. Please contact the Civil Rights & Title IX Office via email at training@usu.edu.
Admission
Students must confirm their Enrollment or need to complete their Orientation modules.
Outstanding Balances
In most cases, financial holds can be removed by paying an overdue balance. Pay online or at the Office of the Registrar, TSC room 246.
Advising
Some majors require students to meet with their advisor before registering.
Other
If you encounter a hold other than financial or advising, it can only be removed by the administrative office that placed it.
Confused about a hold?
In all cases, the Office of the Registrar can help you figure out how to remove a hold.
