March 2026 Newsletter - A Bolder Way Forward
March Newsletter for A Bolder Way Forward.
A Bolder Way Forward Advocates,
Good morning! As the season shifts and spring is on the horizon, the UWLP team and advocates across the state are making progress on several transitions to sustain our momentum. Below are key updates on A Bolder Way Forward (BWF) to keep you informed:
Quarterly BWF Connections: As mentioned last month, the BWF restructure brings new ways to engage. First, this issue begins our quarterly schedule for BWF newsletters. The UWLP newsletter continues monthly, and we’ll send out this BWF edition again in June. Second, we’re thrilled to invite all advocates to register for and attend our inaugural BWF Impact Forum. Dr. Madsen and the UWLP team will provide updates on new and emerging resources, recent research findings, and inspiring progress happening across the BWF movement. These quarterly forums will be a meaningful opportunity to stay connected to the "whole", get inspired, and leave with clear ways to deepen your impact. Lastly, starting in May, we will send out targeted email communications to advocates within each spoke area to share aligned updates and opportunities across the state.
Latest Research: Today, we’ve released the Home, Health, Community, & Allyship 2025: Utahns’ Awareness, Understanding, and Attitudes white paper. This is the fifth white paper sharing results from the UWLP 2025 Fall Survey and covers the Home & Family, Health Across the Lifespan, and Political & Civic Representation Spokes, along with data on Male Allyship. Earlier this month, we released the fourth white paper titled Women, Finance, & Education 2025: Utahns’ Awareness, Understanding, and Attitudes, which highlights data from the Finance, Higher Education Attainment, and K-12 Initiatives Spokes.
New UWLP Resources:
Local Updates: Grassroots work continues at the county level, with counties now organized into seven regions and supported by part-time UWLP regional coordinators. Mapping community organizations is a priority to ensure aligned groups are identified and that existing efforts are amplified through social media and other channels. Congratulations to Boulder Town, who this month became the first town and 12th local government to pass a Bolder Way Forward resolution supporting girls, women, and families.
Movement-Wide Awareness Campaigns: Check out this guide for an updated 2026 Campaign Schedule. Participate by using shared graphics and content to help raise awareness about each area of focus. For March, you’ll find campaign resources on Gender Equality Month. Next month, our focus will be on Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Check out the UWLP community calendar for all events in Utah for girls and women. To get engaged, take this Interest Survey, and join us on our social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram. Subscribe to this newsletter here.
