Rape Aggression Defense (RAD)

Certified USU Police officers teach Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.). This 1-credit course is offered as PE 1407 each semester, and teaches self-defense with simple-to-learn techniques that women of all ages and abilities can master. Space is limited in each class.

Why Take RAD?

R.A.D. is the largest network of its kind with over 11,000 Instructors receiving training in our systems to date. These Instructors teach at various colleges, universities, and municipal law enforcement agencies as well as various other community organizations internationally. R.A.D. has trained more than 900,000 women since the program began in 1989.

The only existing program with a free lifetime return and practice policy, honored worldwide.
Specialized simulation techniques and equipment for use by certified R.A.D. Instructors.
The only self-defense program ever endorsed by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA), National Academy of Defense Education, the National Self- Defense Institute (NSDI) and Redman Training Gear.
