The Utah State University Threat Assessment Management Team (TAMT) actively collaborates with the campus community to support the recognition of and response to concerning or threatening behaviors.
The TAMT works with the campus community to identify, assess, and manage situations involving individuals whose behaviors or actions may present a threat. This may include, as appropriate, working with law enforcement, mental health services, human resources, and other support services to facilitate effective assessment and intervention.
Team members conduct comprehensive, fact-based assessment of circumstances involving individuals who are engaging in concerning or threatening behavior that may pose a threat of violence to themselves or members of the University Community. The TAMT conducts such assessments and develops case management plans based on a thorough and diligent review of information obtained via sources that are reasonably available, and to which team members have lawful and ethical access.
