Support Honors Students

The Utah State University Honors Program serves all Aggies.

In keeping with USU’s land-grant mission, Honors recognizes and develops the potential of students to become future change agents, even when students do not yet see that potential in themselves. Our vision is to build an increasingly active and engaged community of students, faculty, alumni, staff, and stakeholders who represent the best that Utah State University has to offer.

Honors proudly welcomes all past, present, and future Aggies to accept the poet Horace's ancient challenge: "Sapere aude" or “Dare to Know.” Please consider giving in one of the key areas below.

We dare you to support our Honors Aggies.

Honors Scholarships
Honors offers a range of scholarships that support students at all stages of their university education:
  • The Honors Access Scholarship supports students with demonstrated academic merit, financial need, and capacity to excel in college. The program welcomes applications from all Honors students and encourages first-generation college students (neither parent graduated with a bachelor’s degree or higher) and those who have demonstrated resilience in the face of any kind of adversity to apply.
  • The Honors General Scholarship Fund provides various merit- and need-based scholarships, including the Honors Dare to Know Book Award, for Honors students at any stage of their education.
  • The Douglas and Elaine Alder Endowment funds two annual scholarships for advanced Honors student leaders (Douglas J. Alder) and those actively engaged in community service (Elaine Alder)
  • The Helen and Lawrence Cannon Endowment funds annual scholarships for advanced Honors students in the humanities/arts, education, or social sciences (Helen Cannon) and the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics (Lawrence Cannon).
  • The Morse Honors Program Scholarship Endowment funds annual scholarships for engaged Honors students who demonstrate outstanding promise and financial need or lack of other scholarship support.

Honors Research/Creative and Study Abroad Funding
Honors supports students with up to $5000 in funding for research and creative projects and/or study abroad. Gifts in this area will help Honors build an endowment to ensure ongoing support for these enrichment experiences.

Honors General Fund
The Honors General Fund is used at the discretion of the Executive Director to support Honors Book Labs or courses, special student events, space expansion, and other programmatic enhancements.

Thank you for your support of USU Honors!
