Kassie Weyand

Biography

Kassie joined the University Honors Program in April 2025. A native of Box Elder County, she graduated from Utah State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Fine Arts. She then moved to DeKalb, Illinois, where she taught in both a preschool and a therapeutic day school.

After several years focused on raising her three daughters, Kassie earned a Certificate in Data Analytics from Bridgerland Technical College. She went on to work in USU’s Office of Data & Analytics for two years before joining the Honors team.

Outside of work, Kassie has always been very involved in music. Being married to a full-time musician has provided her with many opportunities to perform alongside him on piano, electric bass, and accordion. She prefers to spend her free time getting lost in a good book or wandering through a forest.
