Workshop/Training
Updates on in-person orientation, online orientation, and parent and family programs. Changes include streamlining the online orientation experience to improve retention and expanding support for parent and family programs. The goal is to ensure student-facing employees understand these updates and can effectively communicate them to students.
Right Referral: Housing Services & Residence Life
Workshop/Training
These offices work hand in hand to help students living on campus feel a sense of belonging and achieve their personal and academic goals. The information from Housing Services will focus on on-campus housing updates, terminology, how sign-ups work and what the waitlist process looks like. Residence Life provides holistic support as students transition through their college experience. Learn about the support and involvement opportunities provided by their office.
Right Referral: SAAVI & Aggie Math Learning Center
Workshop/Training
Learn about the scope of services offered through the Sexual Assault and Anti-Violence Information (SAAVI) Office, including support for survivors, the prevalence and impact of violence, and ways faculty and staff can respond effectively. Presenters will share an overview of upcoming workshops and events planned for the 2026–27 academic year. Next learn about help-seeking behaviors among college students in mathematics courses and strategies for connecting students with available academic resources and support services.
Topic Right Referral: Center for Community Engagement & Campus Recreation
Workshop/Training
The Center for Community Engagement connects students, faculty, and staff to meaningful community-based projects and initiatives. Learn about the impact community and volunteer work have on student development, faculty tenure and promotion, and community needs. There's something for everyone! Campus Recreation will talk about the new offerings for this school year, where to find Campus Rec Information, and how to get onto their registration system to sign up for activities and classes.
Right Referral: Study Abroad, Office of Global Engagement & Pre-Health Advising
Workshop/Training
Study Abroad will talk about program types for students, benefits of study abroad, and how credits work with study abroad. We'll also talk about when we would refer students to academic advisors, and when academic advisors would want to refer students to us - both for outgoing students and incoming exchange students. We will also chat about funding and the Global Engagement Scholar transcript designation. Most students interested in healthcare don’t follow a single “pre-med” path, they come from over 160 majors across every college, often without a clear roadmap. This session shows how Pre-Health Advising helps those students navigate prerequisites, build meaningful experiences, and prepare competitive applications without adding guesswork to your advising. Learn when to refer, what resources to trust, and how we partner to keep students on track early - before small missteps become costly delays.
Right Referral: Center for Academic Belonging & Learning Excellence (ABLE)
Workshop/Training
Stay informed with updates from ABLE, including key initiatives and services such as PASS, AFS, TRIO, Habits of Mind courses, Academic Success Coaching, AWOL Outreach, and Academic Standing processes. This session will provide an overview of current efforts to support student success and highlight important developments across these programs.
