The Utah State University Student Events Committee’s annual Sweater Swap event, held on February 5, 2025 was a huge success, bringing together students for a cozy and sustainable community gathering. Hosted at the Taggart Student Center, the event saw hundreds of participants swapping gently used sweaters for new limited-edition student-designed USU sweaters.
From 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., attendees traded in sweaters they no longer wore, picking out a new sweater while mingling with fellow Aggies. The sweaters collected at this year's event were then donated to The Ogden Rescue Mission and The Lantern House. The event provided an opportunity for the USU community to connect, reduce waste, and come together for a good cause.
"I think it builds the community of Utah State a lot more when there is a cause behind the event. More events that are benefitting the community and community outreach would be super helpful,” said Easton Martin, Traditions Director.
The Sweater Swap has become a cherished tradition at Utah State University, and this year’s event proved to be no exception, with tickets to enter the event being claimed by students wanting to attend within minutes.
