Hypothesis is a Canvas integrated tool that allows you and your students to collaborate and annotate most online source, from online articles and blogs, to YouTube videos, to JSTOR peer-reviewed articles, to PDF's.
Because it integrates within Canvas, you can easily grade each student's participation within the SpeedGrader.

Similar to using most software, to improve Hypothesis' system, they collect the following data when implementing the tool into your course:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Name of the course
- Your Canvas course role (i.e. "Instructor")
- Your preferred Canvas email address
