Most of my life, the lesson of perseverance has been there from my Dad (former Army infantry). The concept that no matter how much life kicks you down, you can always get back up, and no matter where you go, you can always find someone there to help

The VRO has me a space to make friends and be able to get my homework done.

My unit was always watching out for each other, helping one another with anything we could. It bonded us together and gave us a community to rely on for support in anything that came up.

The VRO has given me a place to hang out and socialize with people with shared experiences.
