OneNote in the Classroom

Instructors may integrate OneNote into their Canvas course for collaboration and sharing instructional material.

If you are already logged into a work or personal Microsoft account, you might have to log out and restart your browser to access these materials.

Collaboration Library

The collaboration Library is dedicated to instructional material that is meant to be collaborated on.

Class Collaboration

Instructional material that allows the entire class to contribute to the collaboration may be available. With this material it is possible for all students with access to make changes to the documents.

Group Projects

OneNote allows students to be split into group, and collaborate within those groups.

Individual Pages

Instructors may create individual pages for students to alter, if sharing individual pages with other students is preferred. (If work should be kept private, students should do their own work in their individual notebook sections.)

Content Library

Instructional content that is not meant to be altered by students will be placed here. For example, this would be a good place to put notes that are written for students during class. An instructor can use a classroom Surface Pro to draw or take notes during the lecture then those notes will be available for students to review after class.
