Participants will leave with practical resources, sample studies, and guidance for taking their first steps into SoTL.
Community Engaged Learning: Training Students to Communicate with Community Partners

Community engaged learning (CEL) is central to USU's mission as it combines experiential learning with public service, outreach, and engagement. CEL is a high-impact practice that enhances students' educational experience and helps them develop durable skills that can be used in their futures as professionals and citizens in their communities. This 45-minute Sparkshop will feature a discussion on how to intentionally prepare students to communicate effectively with community partners and community members (e.g. introductory emails or phone calls, collaborative project planning to ensure reciprocity, etc.).

We are excited to honor our class of 2026 graduates! The Commencement Ceremony will include the traditional walk from the University Quad to the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum where there will be the awarding of honorary degrees, Commencement speeches, and the conferring of degrees upon all graduates.
