Nutrition Events

USU Campus Recreation offers various nutrition events. The events are student-led and aim to teach new skills and increase nutrition knowledge.

Cooking Demos

Cooking demos are designed to make cooking accessible to everyone, by demonstrating delicious recipes that are quick, easy, and affordable. Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Sciences (NDFS) students will provide you with nutrition information, culinary techniques, and recipe cards. You will also have the chance to sample the dishes that are prepared in the demonstration you attend.

Fall 2024 Schedule

All cooking demos are free, but you must register beforehand as space is limited. This fall all demos will be from 4-5pm at the Nutrition Center in the ARC.

Nutrition Presentations

Nutrition presentations are designed to help increase your knowledge on a variety of different topics! Previous presentation topics include Intuitive Eating, body positivity, healthy eating on a budget, etc. There is a topic for everyone so come and learn about some of the hottest nutrition topics!

Virtual Presentations

Come and learn about a variety of different nutrition topics from the comfort of your home (or wherever you are). These presentations are put on by Nutrition & Dietetics students here at USU and are designed to be interactive discussions to help you get your questions answered.

Tasty Thursday

Do you like learning about new, healthy snack ideas? This is a weekly event that takes place on Thursday’s in the ARC. Come try a sample of a delicious snack and get the recipe to make it yourself! New recipes are featured weekly so it is never the same.
