This award recognizes outstanding current Honors students at every level of the program who are meeting Honors milestones and earning Honors points. It is designed to help students buy textbooks and course materials.
Eligibility:
Active, engaged Honors students with a minimum 3.5 cumulative/USU GPA who are earning points and meeting Honors milestones on the path toward graduation with University Honors
Criteria:
- Overall academic merit as determined by cumulative/USU GPA, as well as university honors and/or awards earned
- Evidence of engagement with Honors, USU, and/or Cache Valley communities, as indicated in a required extracurricular resume
- Evidence of active effort to take the Honors “Dare to Know” challenge, as indicated in a required application essay
- Preference given to students who demonstrate financial need and/or lack of other scholarship support
