Resources for Student Success
No USU student is alone in earning their degree. Even though many of our online students are not near USU's physical locations, they have access to all resources available on-campus to increase success. In addition to the resources below, visit our Online Learning Study Tips and thrive.usu.edu to get recommendations and help that pertain to your situation.
Academic Resources
Get solid footing before you slip. Learn how to improve your academic standing before the semester even begins. Then during the semester, reference this same page for steps on how to make it your best one yet.
Academic Support - Access resources to help you develop effective study habits with skills and tips for good time management, note-taking and reading, communication, and managing stress.
Disability Resource Center - The DRC helps individuals with disabilities overcome barriers that could otherwise limit their academic, professional, and personal potential and enjoy a full USU experience.
Online Library Access - The USU Libraries provide access to print books and journals, including e-books and electronic journals, government publications, and more, and can even ship materials to students at no cost. Librarians provide research help for subjects in each major.
Peer Mentoring - Mentors can be your point of contact when you may be struggling, from sharing their experience with online classes to directing you to resources. Request a Mentor.
Test Proctoring - Many online courses require proctored exams to verify the identity of the student taking the exam and supervise to ensure the instructions specified by the instructor are carried out. USU coordinates with proctors worldwide or through online virtual proctor tools.
Tutoring - USU provides access to many local and online tutoring options, including an online writing center. Take advantage of these tutoring services all semester long.
Wellness
Put yourself first. We are here to help you make your well-being a priority throughout the semester. USU provides resources for in-person or remote services for all students.

Self-Guided Resources - When it comes to free, online, and self-paced mental health supports you can access on your own time, you’re in luck.
