FAQ About USU Meal Plans

Yes. However you must change your meal plan within the first 2 weeks of the semester. After that you are locked into your contract for the remainder of the semester

Simply hand our cashiers your student ID and they will use that to let you into our Dining Hall. Meals are automatically deducted if you have a Semester 110 or Semester 55 meal plan. Dining Dollars are also loaded onto your student ID and the amount purchased is automatically deducted from your account.

Mobile USU ID is available to all enrolled Logan campus students. Tap your iPhone, Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy, or other eligible Android phones at our dining locations to conveniently use your USU ID. Your USU ID acts just like your physical card and now you can add it to your preferred digital wallet.

Your Semester 110 or Semester 55 meal plan and Unlimited Access meal plan will end on the last day of each semester. Your meal plan is non-refundable and your unlimited, 55, and 110 meals do not roll over semester to semester.

Dining Dollars are essentially a Dining Debit Card. You can use it to purchase anything in our 20+ Dining Operations including our Concessions stands at any athletic event!

Your Dining Dollars will roll over after your housing contract ends and will be usable as long as your A-number is active at USU.

You have 2 guest swipes per semester that you may use on a guest. These guest swipes can only be used to gain access to The Aggie Marketplace or to purchase a meal at Aggie Commons If you run out of guest swipes you may use your Dining Dollars and pay retail pricing for your guest. The student card holder must be present when using guest passes or Dining Dollars.

For Fall 2026 - Spring 2027 semester your Semester 110 or Semester 55 meal plan or Unlimited Access meal plan begins and ends on the following dates.

Fall 2026
Begin: Saturday, August 22, 2026
End: Friday, December 18, 2026
Spring 2027
Begin: Saturday, January 9, 2027
End: Wednesday, May 5, 2027

Call the Dining Services office at (435) 797-1701. We will help you to the best of our ability. If you have a hold on your account due to lack of payment your meal plan will be frozen until funds are paid. To make a Housing Meal plan payment you will need to contact the Housing office at (435) 797-3113

Semester 110 or Semester 55 meal plan or Unlimited Access meal plans swipes are not active during University Holidays:

Thanksgiving Break 2025: November 25 - 27, 2026
Winter Break 2025-26: December 19, 2026 - January 8, 2027
Spring Break 2026: March 8 - 12, 2027

However, Dining Services will have limited locations open with limited hours that you may use your Dining Dollars at. All Dining locations are closed on major U.S. holidays.

We have (1) Dining Hall, The Aggie Marketplace and (1) cooked-to-order restaurant, Aggie Commons where housing meal plan swipes can be utilized. The Aggie Marketplace is all-you-care-to-eat, use your Unlimited, Semester 110, or 55 Semester meal plan swipes to get in and enjoy food from our five micro-restaurants. At Aggie Commons, use your Unlimited, Semester 110, or 55 Semester meal plan swipes for a cooked-to-order meal; one swipe includes one entree from your restaurant of choice, a make-your-own salad from Common Greens, a drink, and a dessert.

We also have our 13 other locations that include the following:

The HUB Food Court: located inside the Taggart Student Center. Includes micro-restaurants Subway, Campus Carnitas, Chester's Chicken, Lotus Kitchen, and Scotsman's Corner. Download our Aggie Transact Mobile Ordering app for iOS or Android to order ahead!
Cafes: located throughout campus you will be sure to never go hungry. Visit Noni's Coffee Shop, The Forum Cafe, Starbucks, Luke's Family Cafe on the Quad, & Beth's Bistro
Convenience Stores: Need a quick refresher? Visit our locations for a quick grab n go snack at The Quickstop, Shaw's 88, and Aggie Commons C-Store
Clutch Micro-Markets: Find self-served micro-markets conveniently located around campus in the Mehdi Heravi Building, Facilities Lunchroom, Distance Education Building, Fine Arts Green Room, Library Locker Room, Engineering 3rd floor, and more to come!
USU Concessions: Use your Dining Dollars at any USU Concessions stands when you attend any USU Athletic event

You can use your block meal swipes at our all-you-care-to-eat dining hall, The Aggie Marketplace, at any of the cooked-to-order restaurants at Aggie Commons, or for select dishes at The Skyroom

Your block meal plan is active as long as your A-number is active at USU.

Dining options will meet most students' dietary needs, including those who need to follow special diets. However, disability-related meal plan accommodations will be considered and approved only if Dining Services cannot meet a student's disability-related needs. To request an exemption or accommodation, contact dining@usu.edu. Financial concerns do not qualify for exceptions.

Leftover Dining Dollars and Block Meal Plans are refundable upon graduation, leave of absence, transfer, or withdrawal.
