This course guides associate-degree-seeking Honors students in defining the structure and scope of their required Honors Capstone Portfolio. Students familiarize themselves with University Honors Program requirements, find a faculty mentor, and ultimately submit a proposed portfolio structure.

Honors students in a 2-year program enroll in this independent-study course in their final semester. They work with a mentor to finalize and complete the Honors Capstone Portfolio, which is required to earn an associate degree with Honors. This course guides students in 1) understanding the nature, scope, and value of an Honors Capstone Project; 2) developing possible ideas for their own Honors Capstone Projects; 3) talking with peers and faculty to define and clarify those interests; and 4) drafting their Honors Capstone Proposals.
