Akima Clark from Cedar City UT says that at the VRO she has found friends that will talk to you about almost anything.

Most of my life, the lesson of perseverance has been there from my Dad (former Army infantry). The concept that no matter how much life kicks you down, you can always get back up, and no matter where you go, you can always find someone there to help

Anneliese is an Army dependent who currently works in the USU VRO as a Work Study. She is a stellar Air Force ROTC cadet and loves being an Aggie!

Chase Anderson is from Dallas, Texas. Chase shared the following about his Father's service in the Air Force and his own experiences at USU.

Claire is an Air Force dependent and the most exotic places she has lived in are Abu Dhabi, UAE and Cairo, Egypt.

The VRO has given me and my wife a feel of community and a place to go where we can feel comfortable.

Coltan Fotheringham from Lyman, Wy is a Navy Veteran who's time in the service taught him that "With hard-work and dedication, you can accomplish anything"

The army taught me and instilled the discipline necessary to persevere through tough times. However I also learned that no matter how "tough" you think you are, no matter how disciplined you are, success only comes through effective teamwork.

I learned from the military that as long as you're alive you can be better. Try to be better tomorrow than you are today.

My unit was always watching out for each other, helping one another with anything we could. It bonded us together and gave us a community to rely on for support in anything that came up.

They say that in the military the only constant is change. When you are encountering setbacks you are still expected to find a way to get the job done. This skill has proved invaluable for my transfer into civilian and student life.

As a military child, I had so many moments where things were changing, but being able to adapt and being willing to experience new things definitely made it for the better

The VRO has helped me so much in just being a safe place to hangout or do homework. There are always nice people there who have some of the same situations in life that I have.

Jovani V. Sandoval is a Navy Veteran who served on the USS Alabama. His time in the Navy taught him "Perseverance and consistency are something you can't teach, but man do they make your life easier in the long run"

Kamryn Corbett has lived all over as a Navy family and just recently moved from Naples, Italy! She has always called Utah her home.

Being here allowed me to meet more people in a relaxed setting and make friends. It especially helped while my husband was deployed because I had a community of people that supported me.

The VRO offered me the community that I had lost when I first left Active Duty. Everyone is so helpful and checking in on me; It's a nice little family!

The VRO staff and other veterans there are so friendly. One of my favorite VRO memories is being able to do a 5k for Veteran's Day with friends last year.

My favorite thing about being here at USU is the education I'm receiving. The campus is excellent, and my professors are incredible educators.
