Electroshocking Huntington Creek with DWR

The USU Eastern Chapter of The Wildlife Society will be assisting the Utah DWR (Division of Wildlife Resources) with a non-lethal survey of fish on Huntington Creek. Electroshocking, or electrofishing, is a fisheries management technique that uses a temporary, non-lethal electric current to stun fish in a body of water, allowing biologists to easily net, measure, and assess the fish population. This data helps fisheries managers monitor fish health, population density, and species composition to inform management plans for maintaining healthy, productive fisheries and fishing opportunities. Join us for a fun day on the water.
