Small Group Training

Utah State Campus Recreation’s small group training (SGT) offers hands-on fitness instruction/training while in a group environment. It blends personal training with group fitness, where during the 5-week series, participants can expect tailored progressive instruction relative to the class. 

Pricing

Registration for classes can be done via RecPortal for any of the 5-week series. Please note that you should pay attention to each offering's day/time/location before registering.

Want to try a class before you buy the pass? The first week of each class offering is FREE, allowing anyone to try it out before registration is required.

Browse below for our spring semester small group offerings. Classes are broken into two different blocks, with two classes offered in each block. Only 10 spots are available for each class, allowing for hands-on training with instructors.

Intro to Powerlifting

This series will focus on outlining the importance of proper programming, flexibility and technique for safe and effective training regarding the Big 3. Participants will not only get hands on coaching, but they will also be provided with specific techniques to improve their lifting. With the focus being on the Deadlift, Squat, and Bench Press.

Upbeat Pilates

This energetic, music-driven Pilates class combines core-focused strength, flexibility, and full-body movement in a supportive small group setting. With personalized coaching and options for all fitness levels, you’ll move with purpose, build strength, and leave feeling energized and refreshed.

This series takes a well-rounded approach of combining strength with cardio to provide the ultimate conditioning effect! Structured in a fun and race oriented format participants can expect to see their strength and cardio improve using a variety of equipment and exercises!

Want to combine strength with cardio? This is the series for you! This circuit based class will focus on progressively improving your strength and endurance in a fun and exciting format. Classes will feature a variety of exercise and equipment to help participants improver their overall fitness!
