Ambassadors
About USU Ambassadors
Established in 1983, the Utah State Ambassador Program focuses on service and leadership. Ambassadors positively represent and serve Utah State University campuses and communities across the state. Students who are actively participating in the program receive a scholarship that can be renewed annually.
Service
Ambassadors serve the university and the community. As representatives of USU, they host prospective students and families, dignitaries, and other guests as they visit and learn about Utah State. They also participate in a variety of campus service activities, clean an adopted highway, raise goods for food banks, and serve other community organizations.
Leadership
Ambassadors develop leadership skills and attributes by volunteering for positions within the program, taking a leadership class each semester, and by hosting various leadership trainings for high school and junior college students.

Selection Process
New ambassadors are selected each spring, and the selection process varies by campus. Every year, around 700 incoming USU students apply and approximately 30 are selected. During the review and selection process, Utah State is looking for students who best fulfill these objectives:
- Students who are involved in school and/or community leadership.
- Students who are motivated.
- Students who have a passion for Utah State University.
