Delphinium Overview
Delphinium adds a graphical presentation to your Canvas content and adds some game elements to help increase student engagement. The content can be presented as modules for a linear flow or as an iris to promote student autonomy to pick and choose what assignments to do when. There is also a cafeteria option to ensure students pick from various assignments in each module to meet specific, pre-defined objectives or categories of assignments.
Game Elements
The game elements are optional and can be included based on your preference. Click on each to learn more.
Avatars can be customized by students. Students can unlock additional avatar features as they earn more points in the class.

Students can see where they fall on the leaderboard. Students are assigned a pseudonym to protect their identity.

Support for teaching procedures, frequently asked questions, and other course development resources.

Instructors can customize achievements students can earn by completing a threshold of points on an assignment, within an assignment group, or within a module.
Communication
Delphinium also provides a feature to message students using a form letter approach so that you can quickly email students who meet certain criteria and include their name and number of points they have earned to date.
