Facilities Support Services/Logistics encompasses several major areas of operation: Distribution, which is in charge of suppling all of campus with their US Postal Service mail; Management Information Systems (MIS), which is in charge of all computers and networks within the Facilities department; Risk Management, which works to assess the risks associated with any activity and also coordinates various insurance coverages for the University; Safety, which bears the charge of keeping our employees out of harm's way; Purchasing & Receiving, which handles all incoming and outgoing freight for Utah State University; and the Central Warehouse, which maintains an inventory of items needed by the Facilities Department and is closely allied to Purchasing & Receiving; and Surplus Sales, which is used by the university to dispose of surplus property. The Assistant Director of Support Services is Mike George.
